Bart Landwehr from Tight Lines Fly Fishing Co. pioneered the use of this pattern in the Midwest for smallmouth about 8 years ago. The Murdich was first designed by Bill Murdich for stripers and has found its home on the smallmouth rivers of the midwest. This pattern can be ripped fast or stripped slowly over structure.
